2. Long Island City part 1

Returned to this area on October 13 for the first time in six years. Great to see all the changes. New populations have taken over and transformed the public face of the area.

Our first stop was an old favorite hangout, The Court Square Diner, where lunch for two can still be had for only $30. I had an old standby, a Tuna melt with fries, catchup mixed with Tabasco on the side.

Everything about the place was unchanged. A great energy of people eating and the waitstaff getting it all done. A hub of humanity.
